We were surprised to see this gem of a spot tucked in a small barangay developed by its Barangay Captain in Pangasinan.
The dam site which is host to tilapia and other fresh-water fish has been beautified and is now a watering hole where friends can chill and other local residents relax and enjoy the surroundings. Cap said that two paddle boats will arrive this March as well as a biking lane will be added for additional attraction.
During weekends, groups of families troop to the place where they share happy moments and bond with each other. According to Jonan Estabillo, the young manager of the place, yuppies mostly patronize the place.
A fluvial procession was also held in November last year to commemorate a church celebration, a modest way to contribute towards tourism and religious a
ctivity.
The food was good and I remarked to the chef that the beef salpicao was yummy, and better than the one I tasted in a southern province.
We promised we'll be coming back and bring with us some celebrities.
